Rewelliostroke rehabilitation reinvented
empowered by you
rewellio was inspired by many stroke patients and their individual recovery journeys. Each journey is different but every patient benefits from additional therapy time. rewellio relies on modern, easy-to-use EMG-Biofeedback so that the patients get feedback on every little, not even visible movement. rewellio detects and amplifies these little muscle activities and uses them in a playful approach but also challenges the patient to activate different muscles in a sensitive way.
With rewellio patients are able to complete repetitive tasks at home, therefore their physiotherapists can focus on more complex therapy elements to intensify the therapy.
recovery is a challenge, rewellio is your partner
The idea and the therapeutic background of rewellio (former psii.rehab)
Easy and fun
with rehabilitation games
rewellio’s interface and usability makes every therapy session enjoyable. Motivation is the key to success: rewellio’s playful game concepts entertain and motivate the patients during intense exercise units and create a positive and empowering recovery experience.
with consumer electronics
rewellio can be used everywhere and on many different devices.
The rewellio app runs with many devices including Smartphones, Tablets, Virtual Reality as well as Augmented Reality (soon) headsets in addition to EMG-Biofeedback armbands.
with mobile devices
rewellio can be used everywhere and at any time.
With rewellio patients and caretakers can initiate rehab sessions wherever they are and are no longer dependent on rehab facilities.
with the patient engine
rewellio’s patient engine captures the state of disability and measures the patient’s progress. This information//The collected data is only used to generate optimised therapy modules and sessions and to create the best possible recovery journey.
Capture every move
with sensor fusion
rewellio is designed to capture and measure every progress in the patient’s journey to recovery. Modern consumer electronic devices are equipped with very sensitive sensors that track progress and enable rewellio to provide more granular rehabilitation methods by using bio feedback.
Therapy for all
with low cost equipment
rewellio takes advantage of the recent technological achievements and innovations. Consumer electronic devices like AR and VR headsets, tablets and smartphones are affordable and the only therapy hardware you need for your therapy with rewellio.
Rewellio’s therapy modules
Hand therapy with EMG-Biofeedback
The EMG-Biofeedback therapy module is designed to detect the slightest signals from the brain to the hand, which would not be visible otherwise. These optically imperceptible muscle activities can be amplified and shown by a virtual hand on the screen, whether that’s on the tablet screen or the optional VR screen.
Hand therapy with Virtual Reality
Immersive VR in combination with hand tracking capabilities allows for very efficient therapy methods. Building on the traditional mirrow therapy concept, rewellio in VR provides fun games and challenges to stimulate the reconnection of the affected brain areas. The sensors in the VR headset make it possible to capture the patient’s improvement precisely helping the therapist to recommend the best possible therapy modules at any given stage.
Rewellio is certified as

rewellio was developed out of a need. The need for a better therapy for stroke patients.
As a physiotherapist, our co-founder Georg has been treating patients for over 10 years. In his daily work routine he noticed that severely affected patients receive too little therapy in the outpatient area.
He wanted to improve the patients’ recovery options so he started to search for possible programs or tools that they could use at home as an addition to their individual therapy. His findings were disappointing to say the least.
Inspired by the daily work of therapists
The need for a better therapy became an inspiration. Stroke patients need more therapy time but most of them can’t afford additional hours with a therapist. Georg was determined to develop a therapy that would enable patients to continue their training at home after an hour of therapy. His interest for virtual and augmented reality was the final inspiration Georg needed to create rewellio.
We realize the above photo might be a bit deceiving, we have not conquered the world just yet. However, this is actually showing our new US office in Los Angeles, where we have set up our Rewellio Inc. entity - and one (!) desk so far 😉 To support our activities in...
Why we are rebranding. When we first started naming our company “psii.rehab”, we did not anticipate to be expanding beyond Austria, let alone beyond the German speaking markets in Europe. Talking to therapists, clinics and other partners in the UK, France, Australia...
